Government out of money??

Let me get this straight. The Federal government is out of money and it has to pass a $1 Trillion bill to keep from shutting down? Really? Maybe the best thing for us tax payers is to let the government shut down for a while.

Nancy Pelosi whats everyone to have the same amount of stuff

This week Nancy Pelosi gave a speech to the United Steel Workers Union and stated that we need to address the disparity in "ownership and equity" in the United States.

http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/10/socialist-pelosi-need-to-address-fairness-of-ownership-and-equity-in-the-us-video/

She thinks everyone should have the same amount of stuff. If someone has more money in their 401k, why don't we take some of it and give it to someone with less money in their 401k. She said "It’s all about fairness in our country,”. Is that really how it should be?

Don't be surprised when she decides the Federal Government should take control of all 401k accounts for fair distribution.

Why the Right to Bear Arms

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.-Thomas Jefferson

Mexico - Go Pound Sand

Mexico is working on a lawsuit against the state of Arizona claiming it's illegal immigration law is unconstitutional. Can you believe that. Tell them to keep their citizens from crossing our boarder illegally and they wont have to worry about the law.

Is money the root of all evil?

“So, you think money is the root of all evil. Have you every asked what is the root of money? Money is a tool of exchange, which can’t exist unless there are goods produced and men able to produce them. Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value. Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears, or of the looters, who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider evil?”

“To trade by means of money is the code of the men of good will. Money rests on the axiom that every man is the owner of his mind and his effort. Money allows no power to prescribe the value of your effort except the voluntary choice of the man who is willing to trade you his effort in return. Money permits you to obtain for your goods and your labor that which they are worth to the men who buy them, but no more. Money permits no deals except those to mutual benefit by the unforced judgment of the traders. Money demands of you the recognition that men must work for their own benefit, not for their own injury, for their gain, not their loss –the recognition that they are not beasts of burden, born to carry the weight of your misery – that you must offer them values, not wounds – that the common bond among men is not the exchange of suffering, but the exchange of goods. Money demands that you sell, not your weakness to men’s stupidity, but your talent to their reason; it demands that you buy, not the shoddiest they offer, but the best that your money can find. And when men live by trade – with reason, not force, as their final arbiter – it is the best product that wins, the best performance, the man of best judgment and highest ability – and the degree of a man’s productiveness is the degree of his reward. This is the code of existence whose tool and symbol is money. Is this what you consider evil?”

I hope you have a lot of "Hope & Change" you can believe in

This is amazing. The new Debt Commission is underway trying to figure out how to reduce the debt. Here is their starting point. “The commission's charge is to produce a deficit no bigger than $550 billion by 2015, an amount equal to about 3 percent of the total U.S. economy. That would require deficit savings in the range of $250 billion or more.” 18 people on this commission and they best we can “hope” for is our deficit is only $550 billion in 5 years. You give me 18 average workig Americans and 2 hours and I bet I can find a way to cut federal spending $550 Billion in the 1st year.

The 2011 Federal Budget is $3.8 TRILLION Dollars. $1.4 TRILLION of that is discrectionary spending. How about we reduce the money we dont actually have to spend by 1/3?

The revenue from the top 29 Fortune 500 companies is $3.8 Trillion dollars. The revenue from the top 100 Fortune 500 companies is $6.5 Trillion dollars. In 2 years the government spends more then the combined revenue of the top 100 Fortune 500 companies.

Explanation of budget reductions

I have posted this before but it is a great way to explain how the budget has been reduced. Washington should be able to fix all our problems in no time.

Does the President know our country is a Republic?

President Obama made an appeal Saturday (3/20) to House Democrats to vote on health care reform. Here is a quote from a news article some of what he said.

Obama told House Democrats they have arrived at "one of those moments" when they can realize their highest aspirations in public life.

"This is one of those times where you can honestly say to yourself, 'Doggone it, this is exactly why I came here,"' he said. "'Because I believe so deeply in this country and I believe so deeply in this democracy and I'm willing to stand up even when it's hard."'

Very interesting that he said “… I believe so deeply in this democracy…” I know he wishes this was a democracy, but our country is a Republic. It is based on the rule of law not what the majority may want. Our founding fathers knew exactly how dangerous a democracy can be.

Many in Washington want this country to start working like a democracy so they can continue to take away your rights, properties, freedoms, and your money. Do you know about 43% of the people in this country pay no taxes? Once that number hits 50%, nothing you have will be safe because we will essentially have a democracy.

Why is democracy bad? Well, how’s this for an example. If 10 men and 1 woman get in a room and vote if rape should be legal, what do you think the answer might be?

Jobs Bill passage

Isn’t it amazing that the government will pass a $787 billion stimulus bill and say it is not enough we need more, but pass a $18 billion jobs bill and says that will add millions of jobs. Do you realize that is only 2% of the stimulus bill that did nothing?

How much do you owe

It has been about a year since I laid out country’s deficit and explained the size. Well it has gotten bigger in the last year. You should know how much you owe. Many people think the government debt is not their problem, but who does the government of the United States represent? YOU!

The U.S. Government continues to spend money it doesn’t have and barrow more money. How much is enough? How many people in the US? How much does each person in this country owe the government to pay off our debt? Well if you have children you owe more. Before I answer, think about just your personal finances.

How much debt would you need to have be before you felt you had too much? $10,000? $20,0000? $30,000? They all seem like a lot. I’m not talking about your mortgage that is at least a loan on something of value. What if you had $50,000 in credit card debt? Would you be nervous? That is money you would owe for past spending where you probably have nothing of any value to show for the spending.

The U.S has a debt of over $12.5 trillion. A trillion just sounds like another number. Well here is what it looks like. $12,500,000,000,000. There are about 308 million people in the country. If you have a family of 4 your share is about $120,000. That’s right. Each person owes the government about $40,000. How many people in the country could actually pay that with their next tax return to wipe out the debt? Probably less then 1% of the people. Do you still think we need to spend more money? Do you think we need to barrow more money?

Its time we get rid of life long politicians and put in some people with common sense.

What do you think of illegal aliens taking jobs of Americans

I heard about this and did some research to find out if it is true. What do you think about the illegal immigrant problem in this country? Should we continue to let anyone cross our boarders and stay in this country, taking jobs form legal citizens? Why will the government not do anything about this problem? It is so simple. Why not build a wall along the boarder and force people desiring a better way of life to enter legally?

Did you know that former Presidents deported illegal’s for the sake of Americans? Check out Herbert Hoover (Republican), Harry Truman (Democrat), & Dwight Eisenhower (Republican).

Herbert Hover had the Mexican Repatriation process that deported illegal’s to create jobs for Americans during the Great Depression. Harry Truman wrote a special letter to Congress in 1951 approving S. 954 to address illegal immigrants and improve working conditions for Americans. Dwight Eisenhower had “Operation Wetback” to round up and deport illegal immigrants to improve job availability for Americans.

So in such desperate times as now with unemployment at one of the highest rates in history, why not deport illegal’s? How about for the sake of national security, how about for the sake of our national debt, how about for the sake of this country. Your tax dollars are paying for these illegal aliens and they don’t pay taxes.

Do your own research and let me know if you see it differently.

Wasting your taxes on a fence that does not work

Did you hear the latest on the Virtual Fence designed to secure our boarder along Mexico????
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,584723,00.html?test=latestnews

How do we trust our government with our hard earned tax dollars? The current section of Virtual Fence covers 23 miles and WE (you and I are paying for it) spent $672 million so far. Well it does not work. In fact, they are thinking about pulling the plug on the project which has a total planned cost of $6.7 BILLION.

OK, now do the math. $672 million for 23 miles. That works out to $5,533.60 per FOOT. Do you know what kind of a real cement wall can be build for a fraction of that cost? If politicians keep telling they want to secure the boarder, why has this not been done? It is time we get over political correctness and just build a wall. Tell our representatives to stop wasting OUR MONEY and build the wall once and fix that problem permanently.

How was the State of the Union?

Well, I have to admit, I liked what I heard of the State of the Union speech. I turned on the TV just as the President said "God Bless America. Good Night". Unfortunately, I heard other parts on the news. Sounds like more government hand outs, more government spending, more government. Do people really think the government can keep spending money and give bailouts and hand outs and not raise taxes? Where is this money coming from? The theme seemed to be to continue to grow government and increase societies dependence on the government. What is this part where students don't have to pay back student loans????? Paid for college is not a right under the Constitution. Why are we now promising college loans wont have to be paid back after 20 years? Everyone has the right to go to college, just like everyone has the right to property ownership, but you have PAY for it. It is a great way to increase the size of government by not requiring students to pay back loans after 10 years if they go to work for the government.

Maybe all these new jobs will build more printing presses so we can print more money......

Be on the alert at the airport

A public school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule and a calculator. At a morning press conference, Attorney General Eric Holder said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. 'Al-Gebra is a problem for us', the Attorney General said. 'They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values.' They use secret code names like 'X' and 'Y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'There are 3 sides to every triangle'. When asked to comment on the arrest, President Obama said, 'If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would have given us more fingers and toes..' White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the President. It is believed that the Nobel Prize for Physics will follow---

Better find a union job

At least for the next 5 years. In an outrageous bargaining session the congress has agreed to shield union workers from paying taxes on high level health insurance plans, but if you are not a union worker you will have to pay the tax. This form of class warfare is really cutting it close. Many middle class Americans with non union jobs have high end health care plans. They will be footing the bill for the union workers while unions get favor from the current administration.

So there you are sitting in your middle class home considering yourself lucky enough to have a job with great benefits that you have to work 60 hours a week to keep, while your neighbor works for Chevy and his union contract says he cant work more then 40 hours a week. Then you realize that you are paying a 40% tax on your health insurance while you neighbor, whose company has taken BILLIONS in tax payer bailouts and is still failing, does not have to pay the tax. Your tax on your health care can be more than $9600 a year.

In the current form, the unions will be shielded from paying the tax until 2018. What do you think will happen then? Do you think your neighbor's union will quietly allow that tax to kick in? No. They will find another way for the rest of us to pay for it..... That is assuming anyone still has a job in 2018.
